The Tin Tent Travels are in the anticipatory stages only at this point with planning, organizing and deciding what goes with us on this journey. The Tin Tent is our 19' travel trailer -our 6th Tin Tent! We began Tin Tent Travels more than 30 years ago when our two daughters were very young (less than 1 and 3.5 years) and we had very little $$ for travels and excursions. However, the ever resourceful Hank found us a very old truck camper and we already had the truck for his business! We scraped together the $300.00 to purchase it and we were off on some grand adventures. A few years later we found a much newer and better equipped truck camper, followed by an older Class C motorhome, then a newer larger Class C with nicer amenities. After retirement that Tin Tent wasn't conducive for summer living and frequent visits by the growing grandsons, so we moved on to a 29' 5th wheel which didn't travel, but resideded in a beautiful campground in central western NH. After 2 more summers in the campground we decided to look for a smaller trailer that we could pull with our present vehicle, thus the current 19' Tin Tent # 6! During the eras of Tin Tent # 1, 2,3 & 4 there were numerous trips to visit grandparents in Florida, and the obligatory Disney World vacations, etc. We traveled, camped, and toured Colonial Williamsburg when our daughters were of an age to appreciate it! We camped and explored much of New England while the girls were growing up! When they were both on their own, Hank's and my camping adventures have continued! Now, having seen much on the East Coast, but little in Western States we're going to take off with no real destination and explore as we go along.
